High moisture in the slab of concrete and associated moisture vapor transmission is one of the leading causes of resinous flooring issues and failures. Citadel recommends for protection against moisture vapor or when the relative humidity (RH) in the concrete measures 75% or greater to use Citadel Ultra-Hydro Stop Primer as your base coat in all Citadel systems.
Collins Concrete Coatings can perform an RH test to measure the relative humidity in your slab, to ensure that these products are used to protect your new floor. Many floor failures are caused by either improper substrate preparation, or from moisture. We ensure that neither of these will happen because we follow all the proper installation methods with respect to substrate preparation and prepare the substrate properly. If a moisture barrier is needed, we will install that as well.
